This site has been developed by HR Wallingford to provide developers and planners with a suite of free, on-line tools to
help with feasibility drainage design and options evaluation.

The site provides support for SuDS stakeholders in implementation of drainage best practice and the requirements of the Flood
& Water Management Act 2010.

1. The calculation of greenfield runoff rates for a development site to assist with planning applications;
2. The estimation of storage volumes required to control stormwater runoff to
meet peak flow and volume control;
|
|
|
|
3. The sizing of rainwater harvesting systems for stormwater management;
4. The evaluation of SuDS options for a specific development site to achieve compliance with drainage best practice;
|
|
|
|
5. The design of infiltration systems including soakaways, trenches and basins;
6. The evaluation of hydraulic design criteria where there is a risk of high water levels at the drainage outfall
(joint probability analysis);

|
|
7. A Water quality treatment risk assessment tool which provides an objective evaluation of the effectiveness of the SuDS used in a development.
